Suraj Saksena, Ph.D. has over 10 years of experience in the life sciences biotech industry (therapeutics & diagnostics), and currently serves as Science & Technology Leader at BD Biosciences, responsible for the development of custom reagents and flow cytometry solutions for advancing immunology and immune-oncology, as well as development of advanced flow cytometry applications and clinical reagent solutions. Dr. Saksena received his BS and MS degrees in Biochemistry from the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India before moving to the US in 2000. He completed his postdoctoral studies in cell biology as an American Heart Association Postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University, and his graduate work at Texas A&M University focused on membrane protein trafficking. Additionally, he is a Board-certified Clinical Chemist (NRCC-certified) and consults with CLIA laboratories as Laboratory Director (High Complexity CLIA Laboratory) and Technical Consultant for diagnostic testing.
