Event Information

Event Topic:
Building the Virtual Neurologist

Event Description:
The diagnosis of neurological injuries is the rate-limiting step in the treatment of these time-sensitive, life-threatening conditions, and the scarcity of neurologists prevents wide-spread availability of these critical diagnostic services. This presentation describes ongoing efforts to develop the Virtual Neurologist, an artificial intelligence-based medical device that can autonomously diagnose patients with neurological emergencies by means of direct interaction with, and examination of, the patient.
