(NOTE: This is also probably true of new product ideas within large companies) This presentation will explore some of the causes of company and product failures as experienced or observed by the presenter. This is not a presentation of scientific information, but rather a collection of experiences from over 45 years experience, 40 of which spent in Medtech startups.

With 40 years experience in the medical devices industry, Jeff and Phoenix DeVentures work primarily with MedTech start up companies. Jeff is experienced in helping create new concepts, with over 55 patents (inventor and co-inventor) to his credit. Development projects range from head to toe, and nearly everywhere in between. Servicing over 500 companies, Jeff has seen some projects succeed while many failed. Jeff earned a BS in engineering from BYU and completed the Stanford Executive Program.
