Event Information
Event Topic:
Raising awareness for Patient Safety in clinical trials and the commercial launch
Event Description:
Patient drug or device safety may not be flashy, however it is pivotal to any new product’s approval. Executives tend to want to talk about marketing and revenue generation and, while very important, nothing happens if the product is not safe for use. By raising awareness of the importance for drug safety, I hope to invoke thought and diligence to ensure patient safety has a seat at the strategy table. Topics that will be covered are reasons to consider patient drug/device safety, general definitions, considerations for the C-Suite, Clinical Development and Commercial launch, key questions to ask, a general overview of my company and a view of the changing landscape with the advent of cellular and gene therapies.
