Event Topic:
COVID-19 screening and contact tracing: an evolving approach for an evolving pandemic

Event Description:
COVID-19 screening in the USA in 2020 was an utter failure. The vaccine is not going to end the pandemic. These two facts illuminate the need for a more widespread, technology-enabled approach to infectious disease screening. Diagnostic tests were not commercially available early enough or in enough supply to prevent the virus from getting out of control. Now we need additional layers of COVID-19 screening on top of conventional diagnostic testing in order to move into this brave new normal world in 2021.
