Event Topic:
Beyond the Science: Imperatives for a changed world confronting us

Event Description:
Rohit Shukla will provide background on the work he has done for 18 years, specifically with startups across the biosciences spectrum in partnership with the National Institutes of Health. He will seek to identify the key drivers that impact the health and wellness of communities – the bench and bedside continuum. He will explore his thesis that the markers of innovation in biosciences have not kept pace with the needs of fast-growing and changing demographics in communities in a post-pandemic environment. This has deepened a chasm between remarkable new approaches to disease and their use across users, especially in underserved communities.
