Event Information
Event Topic:
“A Patient’s Touch” – A patient’s journey through a leukemia diagnosis and treatments – and living to tell about it.
Event Description:
Every year in the United States, over 20,000 people get diagnosed with AML leukemia, with an overall survival rate of less than 20% at five years. Given less than 1% chance to survive 12 months in 2014, Kuldip is alive and in extraordinary health at 6 years. Though there are many factors that affect survival, Kuldip will walk through the steps he took to survive the disease. These lessons can be incorporated by most patients to help chart their own patient journey and improve outcomes. He will also share his work with major medical institutions to incorporate his survival lessons to improve outcomes.
