The list of Long Covid symptoms seems endless, with serious impact on patients’ lives. As Johan puts it, the concept of “Loss” (of self, of faculties) dominates all other complex and unusual symptoms. Doctors do not have the means to diagnose the disease, or tend to disregard what the patients say, leaving those patients feeling abandoned.

Johan Van Wevenbergh. PhD, has been studying Long Covid since 2021. He is a Senior Scientist at the Rega Institute, KU Leuven, Belgium. A publication about his research led to conversations with Devin Russell. Executive Director and acting CEO of the Long Covid Foundation, and Josh Boaz Pribanic. Founder of the Long Covid Action Project.
