We are happy to announce that Dr. Suvajyoti Guha will be our keynote speaker at the 2021 Bay Area Biomedical Device Conference on March 30, 2021.

Dr. Guha has been working at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Diseases and Radiological Health (CDRH) where he studies the risk assessment of airborne pandemics. His interests include aerosol sciences, multiphase flows, multi-fluidics, and pediatrics which have led him to do research on face coverings, inhalers, electronic cigarettes and other diverse products. Dr Guha has published over thirty peer-reviewed articles in these areas. Given his knowledge on respiratory devices and airborne infections, he provides assistance to the CRDH’s review and policy teams. Recently, he has been applying his extensive knowledge to assess the performance of face coverings in preventing the transmission of COVID-19.
His presentation for the conference will be on “FDA’s Research on Face Coverings and Additively Manufactured Face Masks in Response to COVID-19.” To learn more about Dr. Guha’s presentation, visit our website https://www.biomedconference.org.
