About the Seminar:
Clinical data has been collecting in Electronic Health Records for the past decade or more. Machine learning can be used to analyze this data and predict outcomes for patients based on their characteristics. Use cases will be presented based on research and the development of a platform will be discussed that can deliver this information to the treating physician at the point of care.
 About the Speaker:
Dr. Uli K. Chettipally is an emergency physician, researcher, innovator, and author. He is the Founder & President of InnovatorMD, the largest platform for physician innovators. He invests in and mentors startups and advises healthcare and technology companies. He is passionate about technology-enabled care that can improve clinical outcomes. He has designed, developed, and implemented a clinical decision support platform that scans a million patients a year in the emergency departments, to deliver real-time guidance to treating physicians at the point of care, to improve patient outcomes in 21 hospitals at Kaiser Permanente in California. He received the “Pioneer Award” from Kaiser Permanente Innovations and the “Morris F. Collen Research Award” from The Permanente Medical Group for this groundbreaking work. He also serves as the President of the San Mateo County Medical Association. His book, “Punish the Machine – The Promise of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” is available on Amazon.
