Medical Device Incubators: Challenges to Getting Out of the Academic Nest

Event Description:
During the last several years, many universities and colleges have implemented programs specifically intended to help commercialize their technologies and R&D efforts. Despite the resources put behind these programs, pushing technology out of the academic nest can be challenging. In addition to the hurdles faced by many innovators, major gaps exist between academic priorities and industry needs. This talk will address some of these challenges and what can be done to mitigate them. It will also include information on how to engage with an incubator if you are considering a partnership with them.
