The Asia Society Northern California and the U.S. Department of Commerce is hosting an off-the-record discussion with the International Trade Administration’s Health Team Lead Jennifer Boger, who will be discussing recent trade policy trends affecting the healthcare industry. The trends Ms. Boger will be discussing include intellectual property considerations; regulatory trends, including multilateralism; delays, barriers, and weak regulatory transparency; localization requirements; bans; and pricing. She will address the challenges US companies face in certain markets caused by local governmental efforts to move up the value chain, with a special focus on Asia and the efforts being taken to mitigate the problems.
