Event Details:

Hansen Medical is passionate about creating robotic solutions that provide physicians with a suite of tools for their procedural and therapeutic success. We believe that better tools will impact outcomes and patient care. Hansen Medical was born from the vision of creating a new generation of advanced medical robotics- a generation that would empower and protect physicians while providing enhanced care for patients. This talk will focus on the design and performance of The Magellan Robotic System, an intravascular robotic catheter system that received FDA clearance in June 2011. The Magellan System is the successor to the company's Sensei X Robotic System, which has been used on more than 10,000 patients.

Clinical photographs integrated with video demonstrate the objectives and specific benefits to patients, surgeons, and hospital. How flexible robotics enhances a surgeons ability to deal with the real world of convoluted vasculature is illustrated in clinical detail and backed up by patient stories.
